Colorado Blue Spruce (Picea glauca) One of the most popular evergreens, it considered the "King of Ornamentals.  This tree is a magnificient sight of dark green to light silvery foliage growing 60 to 80' tall.   It is pyramidal shape and striking color has made it popular as a landscape tree and is widely used in windbreaks and as a border tree for year round screening.  Needles are longer than other spruces and is slower growing.
 
Habitat: 
Grows best in full sun; grows in acidic, akaline, drought tolerant, loamy, most, rich, sandy, well-drained wet. wide range, clay soils. 
 
Uses:
Is a very widely planted landscape tree.  Provides food and shelter for wildlife.
